We had no time to lose. Somehow the undeads were attracted elsewhere and we managed to catch on some rest. We rushed forward as we heard something or someone coming at us from behind. Sounds of destruction and a voice directly into our mind menacing us.
We wanted to avoid a room closed by a portcullis, packed with undeads but Dekheon had some memories of that room and so we decided to enter. After defeating the monsters we recovered a magical shield that belonged to one of the paladins that came here with Dekheon 800 years ago.
Then we pressed on until we reached a room where two acolytes of Orcus and several undead were waiting for us. We dispatched the enemies but one o them managed to flee. We had no choice that to enter into the secret passage he took. From there we arrived into a throne hall. A savage battle was going on. Here Drakenfang and three paladins were fighting the high priest of Orcus and we joined their fight. After dispatching undeads of all sort, acolytes and even trolls we did need to catch on some rest.
Drakenfang and the others went back to the surface and we were joined by Mazzahs and Imerald. Suddenly a huge demon entered the throne room with three monstrous three-headed dogs. The beasts were breathing fire and the demon still talked to us in our mind. I cast protection from fire and went on towards the dogs while all the rest of the party scattered into the hall.
They all breathed fire against me but St. Ygg shielded me completely. Then combat began. Mazzahs summoned huge spiders and Zeddicus several orcs but those lesser minions were no match for the demon. They bought us some time while we were taking care of the monstrous dogs.
Eventually Dekheon landed the last blow on the demon that was forced to retreat back to his plane.
We then searched another room and defeated a few cultists. The half-orc managed to escape however.
In the next room we found two acolytes and gained some useful information from them. Then we continued in search for a way of exiting the dungeon. We finally found a secret passage into the room of the high priest and we escaped the labyrinth.
Back in Helis we found the whole town under attack: hundreds of monsters and undeads were ravaging into the streets. We headed to the church but we had to fight our way out. I turned most of the undeads whilst Zeddicus burned to death the minotaurs. Now we are joining the forces of good that have taken shelter into the sanctuary.
