Both the nystrian barbarians and the sylmorian rebels led by sir William Parlfrey remain silent as Markhuz the avenger steps into the camp and shouts his challenge. Almost 6.5 feet tall, this huge barbarian wields two swords: a black one and a silver one. He wears no armor and only a full metal hornet helm.
The rumors say he is one of the immortals, the nephilim. The party needs to react quickly as if the challenge is not accepted, the morale of their allies will run down. Gorm the dwarf takes the challenge and steps into the fight with his great axe. Meanwhile a strong wind starts coming from up above. The barbarians begin to beat their weapons on their shields whilst shouting the name of their commander. Markhuz attacks only with the black swords and keeps the other one as defense. Soon it is clear that Gorm cannot win this fight. His opponent is wielding a vorpal sword and the dwarf doesn’t end decapitated only for miracle. Also, the barbarian regenerates all the wounds he suffers. Suddently the wind stops as a great green dragon appear just behind the huge barbarian. The dragon shouts something in a long forgotten language and throw Markhuz into the well.
She then burst a flow of acid inside it and the pit immediately catch fire. The fire will burn for days.
Radamel the ranger picks the vorpal blade and claims it as his own. The other sword has probably fallen into the pit. Immediately he senses an evil force that starts muttering to him and his soul is shaken. The demon inside the sword speak also in some old language that his new owner does not understand.
Inzeldrin seems not to be impressed by the courage of Gorm but Radamel succeed in getting her attention by using her title of queen of the mire. She tells the PCs that the molians have taken his son prisoner and she asks to retrieve him.
The party accept and the next morning a band of lizardmen is sent to escort the PCs to a forgotten temple of Orcus, where they have to enter.
Inside the temple they find a riddle carved into the main door and manage to put all the pieces together. They also find a magical fountain that spawns undeads and a few magic items. They also find a octagonal shaped device protected by a 12 heads hydra. Both the device and the monster are under a force field. They’ll need to defeat the monster in order to get their hands on the device.
