This saturday I’ve started a new campaign! I’m particularly happy about it as most of the players are beginners. It is always good when new people begin this wonderful hobby! I decided to run The Halls of Arden Vul by Rick Burton. I bought it almost one year ago and finally I have the opportunity to run it: I owe a debt of gratitude to Jon Britton and his wonderful podcast 3d6 Down the line for having shown me how to actually run this megadungeon!
I’ll be using The White Box ruleset as I think it’s the best to start with for newcomers. We had 4 players and the PCs are the following: Nikos; archontean warrior; Eleutheros, archontean cleric; Godric, thorcinga thief; Egir, thorcinga magic-user.
After having collected some rumors about the ruins, the pary leaves Gosterwick and heads to the falls. They seek some of the caves and find some useful stuff in one of them. They barely escape from a pack of angry albino baboons into another cave and finally they reach the plateau. The lost city now surrounds them: up ahead the ruins of a zigurrat-like tower seems to invite them to new adventures…
