Sunday I decided to run a one-shot of this brand-new system by Kevin Crawford. I created 4 pregenerated characters and let the players pick one of them at random. Crisostomo, the trader, has managed to assemble a party and convinced them to join him into investigating about a new misterious drug called the black sun. Sly was a former corporate soldier but was currently on the run and needed to leave the town for a while. Bigby had his brother killed by this damn drug and was seeking revenge. Sick boy have been the easiest to convince: a few drinks and the promise of wealth. The characters had to face some drug dealers and misterious cultists, cybernetic beasts and the danger of the cyberspace. They’ve explored an abandoned metro line and an empty factory.
We didn’t managed to finish the whole adventure, which I am planning to publish as soon as possible, but we had fun. The system is easy to pick up and easy to run. Combats are quick and deadly and the PCs have a lot of agency with this skill system and all the feats available. I’ll run some adventure with this system again!
